Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month we are highlighting the Layering a Window Card Technique as shown on page 33 in the Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book!  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.
We would love to see what you’ve created using this month’s technique, please visit our challenge blog at http://technicallyterrific.blogspot.com where you can share your project and be entered in a chance to win great prizes.  You will also find a listing of all participants and their blog addresses if you should get lost or want to reference a blog along the way.  Let’s get started!
If you are coming from Wendy's Blog, you are on the right track!
For this month's technique, I chose a 5.5" card with a heart window cut out with the Cricut using the Art Philosophy cartridge. I'm using CTMH's Pemberley paper pack with some Tulip cardstock for the background behind the flowery doily piece that I cut out of the reverse side of the B&T I used for the card front. I used the zip strip for borders on the top & bottom of the card, added the Basic Assortment in the buttons to outline one side of the heart that I had sponged around the edges with Cocoa ink & ended it with a bow of Color-Ready Seam Binding Ribbon colored with Tulip ink. And, to finish it off I added the i & u to say I love you. Who wouldn't love receiving this beautiful card?
Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue on to Bethany's Blog where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my variation. Happy hopping!

Look what we created with the Stamp of the Month

The April Stamp of the Month is called You Are...! Here are some cards & things some of my friends & I made with it. Contact me if you'd like your own set!

My friend & upline, Melissa Robinson created a couple of different pieces with the Stamp of the Month. The first one is a treat bag.

And, Melissa's next contribution is this cute card.

Fellow Close To My Heart consultant, Peggy Lawrence says, "I used the "Dotty for You" paper and made 2" boxes out of the B & T from the paper packet.  I attached the nine boxes with brads to make a shadow box effect.  It is two sided.  On one side are pictures of my husband and I and when you turn it around it has pictures of my Papillion, Missy and her boyfriend Rider and pictures of three of their five puppies they had together a few years ago."

Cherri Hardcastle created a couple of cards to show this stamp set's versatility.

Judy Faye Garner shared 2 cards.

And, here's what I created!

I hope you've been inspired to get your own stamp set and create beautiful artwork!
